"Executive orders can spark change, but only Congress can cement it. I’ll fight to turn President Trump’s America First agenda into lasting law—so our children inherit strength, not slogans."
-Mike Pedersen
LIST OF ISSUES
USA First. Always

I've fought for this country - As a Naval Academy graduate, combat-tested Marine Corps aviator, husband and father, I’ve put everything on the line for our flag and the freedoms it represents.   America must ALWAYS lead with strength and purpose by putting our own citizens—our workers, our families, and our veterans—first in every decision. We don’t owe the world anything until we’ve taken care of our own home.

Secure Elections

Faith in our elections is the bedrock of our republic. We need valid voter ID, a ban on ballot harvesting, and full audits of bloated voter rolls. Universities and federal agencies must stop using taxpayer dollars to push partisan voter drives. I’ll fight to ensure our elections are free, fair, and transparent — with results delivered on time and trusted by all.

Unmatched Military with Capabilities Second to None.

I’ve flown into danger with the best fighting force on earth. I know what a strong, ready military looks like — and I know what happens when deterrence is lost. We must rebuild our Navy and Merchant Marine with a renewed shipbuilding strategy, modernize our weapons systems, and fix our broken acquisition process.  And return our focus to the strong warrior ethos—not detrimental political agendas. Peace is only achieved through strength.

Protect 2nd Amendment.
Shall Not Be Infringed!

I’ve carried a weapon in defense of this nation.  I know the Second Amendment isn’t about sport—it’s about liberty. I am the “Militia” because I’m an American. Our Founders knew that government, left unchecked, always drifts toward tyranny. The right to bear arms is the ultimate check and balance—a last line of defense to ensure that power always remains in the hands of the people. “Shall not be infringed” is not a suggestion. It’s a constitutional line in the sand.

Continue the DOGE Mission

I support fully the continued efforts of DOGE in order to constantly strive for efficient use of our taxpayer's money.

Debt Reduction. Grow Economy

As a grandfather, I refuse to stand by while Washington mortgages our grandchildren’s future to fund a bloated government today. Every reckless dollar spent now is a debt our kids and grandkids will be forced to pay. We must slash wasteful spending, balance the budget and unleash American innovation.  That means energy independence, lower the tax burden, create jobs, and put an end to government grants that undermine our values. Fiscal sanity isn’t optional — it’s our moral responsibility.

Secure Borders

I’ve defended our borders overseas — and I will fight just as hard to defend them here. A sovereign nation controls who comes and who goes. We must finish the southern wall, increase security on the northern border, secure our coasts, bolster our Border Patrol, and stop the cartels from poisoning our communities with fentanyl. It’s not just about immigration — it’s about safety and sovereignty.

Protect and Develop Our Youth

For over 20 years, I've mentored to our youth.  As a father, grandfather, longtime coach, and proud U.S. Naval Academy “Blue & Gold Officer” (Field Admissions Liaison Officer), I’ve guided many young men and women into service academies, military careers, and leadership roles in their communities and in business. I’ve walked with them through life’s defining transitions, helping them become disciplined, grounded, and patriotic citizens. I believe our youth deserve truth over ideology, structure over chaos, and pride in their country. I will fight to protect our kids from radical agendas in the classroom and in sports, restore parental rights, and invest in programs that build character and citizenship. That’s how we preserve America’s future…one child at a time with involved parents and caregivers.
